Do you run a small business in Wales? We’d like to know how your business is using digital technology.
Please take 10 minutes to complete our survey and help us understand how businesses in Wales are adapting to a digital world.
Wales, like most other nations, is undergoing a period of rapid transformation, driven in recent months by the COVID-19 pandemic. This trend has seen digital technologies playing an increasingly central role in both business and society as more employees have begun to work from home. Evidence from our previous Digital Maturity Survey (2019) shows businesses achieving significant benefits from the adoption of such technologies, with 51% of Welsh SMEs reporting increased profits from the use of superfast broadband.
At Cardiff Business School we recognise the importance of research in helping to understand how businesses in Wales are responding to the opportunities provided by superfast broadband. The current coronavirus pandemic is further highlighting the importance of digital technologies to the resilience of SMEs. To better understand digital technology, use and its impacts on Wales in the past year, we have launched the latest annual Digital Maturity Survey. The survey provides the primary source of data on Welsh businesses and their Digital Maturity – reflecting their IT skills and use of digital technologies.
All businesses taking part in the 2020 survey will be eligible to receive a copy of their free Digital Maturity Score (this will be sent to all participants in early 2021). By taking part, businesses will be able to support this important research, inform the work of Welsh Government in relation to superfast broadband, and contribute towards the development of Wales as a digital nation.
The survey team appreciates the support of businesses in completing this questionnaire during the present difficult pandemic period.
